AuthentiCable™ enables electrical conductor manufacturers and owners of electric utilities to incorporate a unique monofilament into electrical cables. The monofilament contains:
  1. Microdots on a metallic substrate, 0.5mm in size containing an alphanumeric six digit code.

  2. Unique serial number imprinted on the AuthentiCable™

  3. DataTraceDNA®, A covert security technology, with forensic tracers consisting of invisible pigments to establish your products identity. Detectable only by the DataTraceDNA® digital reader, The Authenticator.

  4. assetDNA™ database tracking system. AuthentiCable™ technology utilises baseLINE asset management software to track and trace the cable anywhere the cable is deployed across a network.
Together these provide the means of authenticating the cable, identifying the batch number and identifying the customer to whom it was supplied. AuthentiCable™ is easily incorporated into electrical cable, steel and conventional ropes at the time of manufacture with minimal changes to production methods.

Permanent marking of electrical conductors with AuthentiCable™ enables lawful owners and police to identify electrical conductor and other cables quickly and inexpensively. This capability will substantially increase the prospects of detection and conviction of thieves as well as acting as a powerful deterrent to would-be criminals.

Scrap metal dealers also benefit from the use of AuthentiCable™ because it provides unequivocal proof of ownership, taking away the risk of unintentionally trading in stolen property.
