Registering Your Bike is an integral part of the
theft
deterrent system. The Australian Police have access to this register and
can conduct checks on goods suspected of being stolen. Prospective buyers
and second-hand dealers can also conduct checks using our special
inquiry service.
is designed
to work as a deterrent to thieves, however in the event that protected
assets are stolen, it will be these checks that will recover stolen
goods, and lead to the prosecution of professional thieves.

In the event that your bicycle is stolen, your need to do
two things:
Step 1: First call your local police and report
the theft. Make sure they record in the report that the bicycle has
and note the DNA code which is registered on the
register. Ask the police for an event/crime number.
Step 2: Call 1300 300 829 to have your registered
bicycle listed as stolen on the BicycleDNA register.
Note: Without a Police event/crime report number the
register can not be updated.
