Australia DataDot Technology   Car Thieves Face Higher Hurdle- Lexus adopts DataDot DNA Lexus will standard fit DataDot Technology on their complete range of cars, from January 2005. Making this a total of 10 vehicle manufacturers who have now adopted the technology. 
Australia     Auto theft drops as car makers fight back Statistics show that whilst car theft rates have dropped, it is still a common crime. The NMVTRC's Executive director Ray Carroll believes the country has come a long way in reducing car theft, but much of this has been against lower-end criminals rather than professional car thieves.  He believes that removing the economic incentive for thieves will have an even greater impact.  Studies have been carried out on cars that have been fitted with microdot technology, and Carroll states that results point to a 60-70% reduction in theft of cars with microdot protection.
UK     Insurers back Mighty Dot Esure and First alternative are the first UK motor insurers to offer premium discounts for cars equipped with MightDot (microdot technology). They plan to use the scheme as a pilot to assess the viability of extending discounts across other models that fit the system as standard. Esure and First Alternative, Chairman- Peter Wood, said "As insurers we are always looking at ways to reduce, or ideally prevent car theft and insurance fraud. We believe this system is worth backing". 
South Africa     Microdots Fight Vehicle Theft Since DataDots launch in South Africa , there has been a considerable reduction in vehicle theft, and a significant increase in stolen vehicle recovery. Clients such as Clarendon Transport Avis have reported successes in vehicle recovery. Pat Obrien, Executive Director of Avis, said car theft has been difficult to combat because of the lack of adequate vehicle identification. He believes microdot technology should change that.  The Vehicle Security Association (VESA) has launched a new 'vehicle identification category' with DataDot as its first member, due to DataDots effectiveness in lowering the crime rate.
